Introducing Our Newest Aesthetic Nurse: Brenda!

As we are getting busier at RMA, we have added a second Nurse Injector to our team, Brenda Luckett! Check out our Q&A with her below!

Tell me about yourself?

I am originally from Michigan, but spent 10 years living in Chicago Illinois.  I have a husband and two children ages 4 and 7. I enjoy doing activities with my family, spending time with girlfriends, traveling, decorating, gardening, staying physically active.  Professionally, I like to stay up to date within the medical community and in medical aesthetics by reading articles and journals, watching visuals, and doing trainings.

What is your skin regimen?

Morning and night I cleanse, tone, and apply moisturizer.  I also like to get facials as well as some laser therapies such as photo facials. I was diagnosed with Rosacea previously so I started taking probiotics, which I also knew were good in general, and they did heal my skin.

What do you wish you knew about skincare when you were younger?

To use sunscreen everywhere!  I was always pretty good about my face, but neglected some other areas like my chest, legs/knees, and hands so they have revealed some sun damage.

What do you do in your free time?

I like to read, cook and bake, do activities and crafts with the kids, do my own DIY projects, visit new places, and spend time with friends and family.

What is your favorite treatment to do on patients?

I like to do facial HA fillers.  It’s always so nice to see those instant results and to see clients get excited about how they look.

What is your favorite treatment to receive?

Definitely facials!  It’s so good for the skin and so relaxing- I usually fall asleep.

What is the most rewarding part of your job?

The most rewarding part of my job is seeing the confidence my clients gain from the treatments they receive.  Enhancing their appearance, while keeping the look natural, is the goal. Being a client myself, I’ve experienced first-hand that confidence that comes from knowing you look like the best version of yourself.

What is your favorite skincare product to use?

I like to use anything that is moisturizing as my skin has gotten on the dry side.  One of my favorite things is rose oil (calms redness, sensitivity) and I am always looking for a good moisturizing sunscreen.
